Experience authentic Finnish ice fishing in the peaceful Arctic wilderness

Join us for an authentic Finnish winter experience on a nearby frozen lake in the beautiful surroundings of Kersilö, Sodankylä.

The tour begins at our family home, where you will get a glimpse of everyday life in the Finnish Lapland. From the farm, we continue to a nearby lake, where the peaceful winter wilderness awaits.

Once on the ice, you will receive all the equipment needed for ice fishing and an introduction to this traditional Finnish winter activity. No previous fishing experience is needed – our guide will show you how to drill a hole in the ice, set up your fishing gear and try your luck beneath the frozen lake.

Whether you catch a fish or not, the experience is all about enjoying the peaceful surroundings and the unique atmosphere of a frozen Arctic lake.

During the trip, we make a campfire where you can warm up, roast sausages and enjoy hot berry juice. It is the perfect opportunity to relax, chat and take in the beautiful winter landscape.

And if you are lucky, you may even catch your own fish!

You will also hear stories about the local nature, lakes and everyday life in Finnish Lapland.

The Ice Fishing Tour lasts approximately 2–3 hours and offers a relaxed and authentic taste of traditional Arctic winter life.
